Moving Car from Perth to Melbourne

Frequently Asked Questions about moving car from Perth to Melbourne

Can I pack the car with personal items?

The short answer is: Yes.

Depending on what carrier it will come at an additional cost. However, you are generally allowed up to about 80 kilos as long as there’s nothing in the front seat or nothing directly behind the driver’s seat in that foot compartment (just in case the drivers need to bring that seat back and forth, they can do so without any restrictions).

We also recommend to load up the boot and the back seat. You can also push the passenger seat as far forward as it will go and load up behind there as long as you keep it under the window levels.

How do I move non-running or damaged car?

Damaged cars. If it’s still in full working order, please let us know and we would need to see photos so we can assess the damage. Some carriers will not accept them whatsoever if they’ve got sharp edges, anything like that. So if you send a photo then we can definitely get you a quote, no problem.

Non-running car. If it was something as simple as a battery was dead, we would recommend that you get that fixed because it is going to be more expensive. We do require the cars still to have working brakes and working steering. If it does not, please let us know. We can still move it. However, it’s going to be a specialised carrier.
